Fri Apr 19 2024 12:00PM – 4:00PM | Fri Apr 19 2024

Event Description:

The Institute for Health Logistics & Analytics (IHLA) at Georgia Southern has training for students who work (or intend to work) by, with, or for animals or animal-by-products. It's engaging and they will learn how to protect themselves and their communities against the threats of common and emerging zoonotic diseases as is relevant to their profession. Training will focus on the human side of the animal-human interaction and cover the routes of transmission as well as the precautions needed upon entering a variety of workplaces. This training is a no-cost 2-hrs long session and will be offered in-class. The trainers will do pre- and post-tests and thus, can provide faculty with proof that our students completed the training and will provide those students a certificate of completion.
