HBCU Road Trip

Event Description:
The HBCU Road Trip is the kickoff event for the summer to launch the AAMI program at ABAC. This event will provide students the opportunity to learn about academic programs at some of the most prominent black colleges and universities such as Edward Waters College, the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU), St. Bishop Community College, Dillard University and Xavier University of Louisiana. Students will also experience cultural enrichment from touring the The Meek-Eaton Black Archives Research Center and Museum on the FAMU campus and the New Orleans African American Museum (NOAAM) and the Backstreet Cultural Museum, both located in the historic 'Treme neighborhood, the oldest surviving black community in the United States.
